Awesome mag

Can be hard to find in stores sometimes so its nice to have the option to download the magazines.

Mr

Great magazine. Very poor app. Downloading is a pain each time. Get the print subscription and not the digital one. The app is also hard to navigate one the magazine is downloaded

Love it

Good to have always on hand

Broken app

Love the magazine but the app is junk. I bought a subscription and many back issue because of the content.......but the app is just garbage and constantly crashes. Now issue 22 is out and I cant download it because it says its unavailable. No customer support help and highly frustrated!!!!

Value Fading

Recoil started with a bit of inconsistency, but improved slightly. Now, with the latest "Unavailable" listing of an issue just released, Im disappointed. Im beginning to question what value Im getting compared to other e-zines that are more reliable and consistent. If Recoil wants to keep me as a subscriber and compete with other magazines they need to sack up and at least to deliver. Even better; deliver on clearly communicated schedule. Dont make us question you Recoil, make us echo how great you are.

Very different perspective for the gun culture

I originally clicked on a partial preview of this online version of Recoil and followed up that preview with a purchase of their print magazine on my next excursion to the local grocery store. And, for perspective from my point, Im a lifetime NRA member, annual member of our state firearms lobby (GeorgiaCarry.org) and have been shooting most of my life (both competitively and good old plinking fun). Im also a current GWL (Georgia Weapons License) holder and have been carrying about 12 years. I also have subscriptions to just about every gun rag on the market - in print as well as online - but the thing that got my attention with this magazine is it presented a lot of firearms related gear quite differently from the other players. With the usual lineup, you get the requisite new firearm and new ammo reviews, etc. and 9 times out of 10, the price tag of the guns reviewed are marked elevated to levels that they place them considerably out of reach of the mainstream gun culture folk. And I dont mean this as criticism as if you can afford so and so, go for it. But the one feature I look forward to are the "Expert" section in each issue they review what, exactly, do the noted gun culture people carry and WHY they carry that particular gun. And you get more of a feel of what the real CCW culture is REALLY about. Out of two issues, Ive not seen but one or two of the high end carry guns (One Wilson Combat and one Nighthawk - both highly customized to the specs of the end user). But there are a LOT of older GLOCKs, S&Ws and even a revolver or two which kinda leads a little more street cred to the magazine and a feature that is NOT contained in the other gun rag culture.

Recoil is awesome

Great articles and great photos! The coolest thing about the app is the ads are all hot linked. Like a product just tap on 5he link in the ad and that products home page pops up. Recoil has directly sold me quite a bit of product with this feature!

Nice

Very cool app and a high quality magazine. I have loved this magazine since it came out.

Try look

Great buy!!

Good magazine but slow app

Got new iPad Pro and app runs slow and non responsive a lot of time

Good stuff

Just as you expect from Recoil its great quality

Great App

I get the paper edition and the digital. They both are great. I never have any problems with the app at all.

Good magazine, poor interactivity

Great mag and articles. I wish the articles would be hyperlinked if they have a product web page. It would also be neat if they had some vids of them testing things or doing the how-to stuff. All that said, I wouldnt have bought it if it wasnt a great magazine. -d
